Jared Ledesma is Curator of 20th-Century and Contemporary Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Since joining the NCMA in 2022, Ledesma has organized exhibitions across the museum’s two campuses, including Allana Clarke: Tender, David Gilbert: Flutter, THERE (a solo exhibition featuring the work of Jordan Nassar), and the most recent, touring exhibition, Grace Hartigan: The Gift of Attention. He has also secured notable works by Ruth Asawa, Beverly Buchanan, Gwen Knight, and Irene Rice Pereira, among others, for the museum’s collection. Ledesma held previous curatorial roles at the Akron Art Museum, the Des Moines Art Center, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. They set the tone for everything we do.
Shauta Marsh, co-founder of the artist-run nonprofit Big Car Collaborative and Director & Chief Curator of the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis (CAMi), centers her work on themes of community, memory, and mythology. Over the past 20 years, she has curated more than 70 exhibitions featuring artists such as Saya Woolfalk, Wendy Red Star, Pablo Helguera, Yvette Mayorga, Scott Hocking, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Toyin Odutola, Juan William Chavez, Trenton Doyle Hancock, and Richard Mosse.
Beyond her curatorial work, Marsh writes and produces two radio programs for 99.1 WQRT LP Indianapolis. She also coordinates public art projects through Big Car’s placemaking program, Spark Placemaking, and co-leads the affordable artist housing initiative on the CAMi campus.
